I am Ken Gilhespy.
I became a fully qualified PGA professional at Lilleshall Sports recreation centre in 1980.
I started my career at Hayling Golf Club in 1977 moving on to New Forest GC then begain teaching in France, Portugal and Spain before many happy years teaching as professional at Bournemouth Golf Centre prior to my amputation.
Since losing my lower right leg I have worked to understand the difficulties faced by disabled people who would like to play golf and I now realise that most people can adapt the golf swing to suit the individual disability.
